about tracta

In 1936 Jisk Knijpstra started a breaker's yard, which expanded over the years to become a supplier of services to the local agricultural market. From the mid-sixties the company began to supply the coach and cycling industry. In 1974 Jisk's son Hette Knijpstra took over the company, which then developed into a fully fledged machine factory, from which the following divisions were created: KIG, Sluiskodra, IDH, Mondialrides, Normag, Roodberg and Tracta. The different businesses now employ more than 100 staff.
