Agriculture machine on tracks

This straw cutter was custom designed for a major grass drying factory in Noordholland - it integrates a container hook arm system on an articulated chassis, the axles of which are fitted with a Tracta tripletrack caterpillar system.
The caterpillars were custom designed by Tracta to prevent rutting, with outer edges that spare the lucerne grass, thus reducing the damaging effect on regrowth.
Because the client thinks in seconds, the timing of the hook arm system had to be stepped up. Tracta halved the pick-up time for container exchange.
